Trump says 150 countries are seeking to establish trade relations with America

U.S. President Donald Trump said that 150 countries are interested in signing trade deals with the United States, following the suspension of reciprocal tariffs on most countries around the world until July.

Speaking in the UAE, the American president added that Treasury Secretary Scott Besant will be in contact with the countries seeking to establish trade agreements, according to Bloomberg.

He further stated that the trade deal with China is still in the making, emphasizing Beijing’s desire to sign it in order to avoid high tariffs.

It is worth noting that the United States and China had reached a preliminary trade agreement to suspend most reciprocal tariffs for 90 days, pending a broader deal
