The US dollar exchange rate against the Egyptian pound stabilized on Wednesday at less than EGP 48 across all banks, amid expectations that the Central Bank will cut interest rates at its next meeting as inflation continues to slow.
The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics indicated that annual urban inflation declined to 11.7% in September 2025, compared to 12% in August. Meanwhile, the inflation rate for the entire country reached 10.3%, compared to 11.2% previously, reflecting improved price stability.
