Russia increased its oil production in November, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on Friday, according to Russian news agencies.
While Novak did not provide specific figures, data released by OPEC on Thursday showed that Russian oil production rose to 9.367 million barrels per day (bpd) in November, an increase of 10,000 bpd from October levels.
The production increase follows the decision by the OPEC+ group of oil-producing nations to implement a moderate increase in production quotas.
Novak also stated that Russian companies are increasing their investments to meet the higher production quotas set by OPEC+.
