Cryptocurrencies rise, with Bitcoin trading above $112,000

Cryptocurrencies rose during Friday trading, with Bitcoin surging above $112,000, as investors awaited US jobs data that would influence interest rates.

Bitcoin rose 2.25% to $112,271, according to Coinbase data.

Ethereum also rose 3.16% to $4,411.45, Ripple rose 1.44% to $2.8423, and Dogecoin rose 2.3% to $21.71.

All eyes are now on the nonfarm payrolls report, due later today, which could show the world's largest economy added 75,000 jobs in August.

Markets are widely expected to see the Federal Reserve cut interest rates by 25 basis points at its meeting later this month
