Cryptocurrency prices rose on Friday, as markets awaited the regulatory framework in the United States and Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell's speech at the annual Jackson Hole Economic Symposium.
Bitcoin rose 0.95% to $113,216.80, accounting for approximately 58.5% of the total cryptocurrency market value.
While Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, rose 2.7% to $4,345.88, Ripple fell 0.25% to around $2,872.
In an interview with CNBC Crypto World, US Senator Cynthia Lummis said that legislation to regulate the cryptocurrency market could become law by December.
The global market capitalization of cryptocurrencies is $3.85 trillion, while the total trading volume over the past 24 hours reached $147.18 billion, according to CoinMarketCap data
