Russia's liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports declined during the first seven months of the year, reflecting the growing impact of Western sanctions imposed on Moscow over the war in Ukraine.
Preliminary data released by LSEG on Friday showed that Russian LNG exports fell 4.5% year-on-year to 17.1 million metric tons during the January-July period.
In July alone, Russian LNG exports reached 1.9 million tons, a 5% year-on-year decline and an 11.2% decline compared to June, according to Reuters.
Exports to Europe fell 14.7% year-on-year to 8.7 million tons from the beginning of the year to the end of July, following a 20.6% decline in shipments last month alone to just 850,000 tons
