The UK economy grows by 0.5%

Official data on Friday showed that the UK economy grew by 0.5% in February compared to the previous month, rebounding from a slight decline in January. Economists had expected a smaller increase of 0.1%.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said that the growth in February was broad-based across both the services and manufacturing sectors. In January, the economy contracted by 0.1%, mainly due to a decline in the production sector
